St Andrew North Swindon Weekly Cycle of Prayer Spring 2019


‘Your kingdom come, your will be done’


Please use these suggestions for prayer each day so we can join our prayers for our community together as a congregation.



Pray for Tadpole Garden Village

  • For those living or moving in there and for good neighbourly relations
  • For those negotiating with services, such as doctors and shops to build a useful community
  • For all staff, pupils and Governors At Tadpole Farm Academy – that they would flourish academically, emotionally and spiritually.
  • For all staff, pupils and governors at Great Western Academy and those preparing to open of William Morris Academy and Churchward School.
  • For our monthly service to become a regular place to encounter God for many people living in the village.



Pray for Oakhurst and Redhouse

  • For those living in this area
  • For staff, pupils and governors at Oakhurst and Red Oaks Primary Schools, Brimble Hill and Uplands Special Schools and Abbey Park Secondary School
  • For the district centre and the flourishing of the businesses there, including Kingdom Coffee House.
  • For good neighbourly spirit and a sense of community
  • For safety in the outdoor spaces as the weather improves.



Pray for St Andrew’s Ridge and Ashbrake

  • For those living in this area already or moving in soon
  • For staff, pupils and governors at Bridlewood School
  • For the staff and residents at Ridgeway Rise (formerly Abbey House) Care home as the new managing company settles in.
  • For those planning, building or selling the new housing areas
  • For those who work in this area or use the recreational facilities



Pray for the children and young people in our parish

  • For provision of high quality education which meets the needs of each pupil.
  • For the necessary support required by vulnerable children or those with additional needs.
  • For safety on-line and when out and about.
  • For wisdom and patience for parents and carers.


Pray for those we are connected to outside our parish

  • For the charities we support as a congregation in Swindon and beyond.
  • For our brothers and sisters in Luweero and Kampala dioceses in Uganda and especially the staff, pupils and management committee of Nsawo Primary School
  • For other churches in Swindon and the Bristol Diocese
  • For Bishop Viv, Bishop Lee and Chris, the new Archdeacon of Malmesbury.



Pray for all those who work to make the area a better community

  • For Justin Tomlinson, our MP.
  • For all local councillors and those who will be standing for election and elected in May.
  • For all who take time to improve the standard of our community by litter collection and being good neighbours.
  • For the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services



Pray for St Andrew’s Church        

  • For the new Parochial Church Council to provide godly, inspired leadership and be able to action God’s plans for our church.
  • For our worship to continue to glorify Jesus and draw us into God’s Presence
  • For an increased reliance on God through prayer.
  • For God to inspire us in our generosity and provide all we need in 2019.
  • For the 5 couples getting married at St Andrew’s in 2019 and those in our parish marrying elsewhere.
  • For everyone who visits St Andrew’s or a service at Tadpole Farm to encounter God’s loving presence.
