Lent is coming
Lent begins in the first week in March so, we will be holding an Ash Wednesday Communion Service on 6 March at 7:30pm. Please return your palm crosses by Sunday 3 March.
We will be running Faith Pictures as our Lent discussion group. This is a short course designed to help Christians talk naturally to others about what they believe, using a single image which embodies their faith. We will be running the same course twice each week
Monday, 1:30pm, starting 11 March, and
Thursday, 7.30pm, starting 14 March.
Both at 15 Rackham Close. Everyone is welcome, but please let Sally know which course you are coming to.
Coffee, Prayer and Chat
We’ve established a meeting at church at 11am on a Wednesday twice a month to chat and have a short service. Please come along, and invite a friend too, if you’re free. Services will be on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month so the dates for this month are: 13 and 27 March.
Annual Parochial Church Meeting
Please come along at 11:30am on Sunday 14 April for our Annual Meeting (after Holy Communion). In advance, we will be explaining why we need more people to join our Parochial Church Council and what our accounts tell us at all services on 10 March and 7 April.
Open Church mornings
We open the church for visitors on the 1st Saturday of the month from March to October from 10am-1pm. If you could spend 3 hours this year welcoming visitors and enjoying the tranquillity of the church please let Sally know. We always work in pairs.
Quiz team required! Wednesday 20 March
Friends of Tadpole Farm Academy are holding a quiz on 20 March, 7pm. If you would like to join the St Andrew’s Allstars team to defend our title, please let Niki Wilding know (07900 016639 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
Sign up for the Electoral Roll
This year (as every six years) everyone has to sign up to the Electoral Roll again, or for the first time, so please take a form and fill it in as soon as possible. The closing date is Sunday 24 March.
Songs of Praise on Mothering Sunday
It would be great if the hymns chosen for 31 March could be chosen by children and their mother together or in memory of a mother. If you have a suggestion please let Sally know.
