A special commemoration service was held at 6.30pm on Sunday 18th September (you can find the words for the service here) - it is available to watch online.
The book of condolences is now closed. It is still possible to add your contribution to the online messages of condolence.
The Bishop of Bristol put out this message:
It is with deep sadness that I have heard of the death this evening of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
I give thanks for her lifetime of devoted service to our people and to the nations of the Commonwealth and knowing her deep faith in Jesus Christ, commend her to his loving care.
My prayers, and the prayers of the whole Diocese of Bristol, will be those who grieve, particularly for Charles, Prince of Wales and all the Royal Family.
Into your hands O Lord, our faithful creator and most merciful redeemer, we commend your child, our sovereign lady Queen Elizabeth, for she is yours in death as in life. In your great mercy fulfil in her the purpose of your love; gather her to yourself in gentleness and peace, that, rejoicing in the light and presence of your presence, she may enjoy the rest which you have prepared for your faithful servants. This we ask through Jesus Christ, who lived, died and rose again, to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
