INFORMATION AND EVENTS
Listening Project
Until the end of the year, the Outreach Team are encouraging us to listen to God, listen to our parish and listen to one another. Please look out for:

the updated Cycle of Prayer with a new prayer for our parish,

the community survey we will be spreading widely around the parish, with your help
-
the opportunity to explore what gifts and passions we each bring to the congregation, launching in October.
If you have any ideas about how we can make better connections with our community please speak to Sally, Martina, David, Amy, Coral, Tim or Krystina.
Harvest Festival
We are celebrating Harvest on the first weekend in October.
Friday 2nd October, 7pm, Harvest supper and quiz at church – please sign up at church or let Sally know you are coming, with any dietary requirements.
Sunday 4th October, 10am, Informal service and 6pm Harvest Communion.
Please bring donations of non-perishable food for Boxes of Hope to be able to help those in Swindon who need it.
Pause and Pray
Forthcoming opportunities to meet together for 30 minutes of reflection, Bible reading and silent prayer on the first Monday of each month in church at 7pm are 5th October and 2nd November.
Come and enjoy a pause at the start of the month.
Bible Study Group
Up until Christmas, we will be immersing ourselves in Gospel passages with the help of the television series The Chosen. In October sessions will be at 10am on 7th October and 21st October and 7pm on 21st October at 15 Rackham Close.
Craft Club Saturday 17th October, 10.30am, at church.

Exploring Saints
Tuesday 27th October, 10.30am-12noon, at church.
Children and their carers are invited to come and explore saints with craft, construction and time to think. Sessions are free and will include refreshments.
Community Memorial Service
Sunday 1st November, 4pm
A time to remember those who have died recently or long ago. Email Sally with any names you would like remembered.
Christmas Craft Event, 5th December
Victorian Christmas Extravaganza – please store up old Christmas decorations, off-cut evergreens, seasonal and bright material scraps, old duvets and pillowcases, toilet and kitchen roll cardboard tubes.
Christians Against Poverty Blessing Boutique
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) are hosting a pop-up Blessing Boutique this October for families and individuals supported by the local debt centre in Highworth. They will create a warm, shop-style experience where local CAP clients can come and refresh their wardrobes completely free of charge.
What they need:

Clothing: Clean, wearable items for men, women and children,

Shoes: Good quality, clean and paired shoes,

Bags: Good quality in clean condition.
Drop-off details:

When: Monday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings (before Mon 19th October),

Where: The Bridge (8 Sheep Street, Highworth, SN6 7DR) or the CAP office (above the Bridge)

How: Please pack your donations in a bag clearly labelled for CAP.
