On the 2 June we were delighted to host a concert by Gregory Steward, a young classically trained professional tenor. Gregory graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with First Class honours, and was previously a vocal and trumpet scholar at Wells Cathedral School.
His show covered classical favourites, including Lehar's You Are My Hearts Delight and Di Capua's O Sole Mio (perhaps better known as the Cornetto music!) and songs from the shows, featuring Les Miserables, including the haunting Bring Him Home, Carousel and South Pacific.
An enthusiastic audience enjoyed the range of music (and refreshments), concluding with an encore of from Man of La Mancha, the well-known The Impossible Dream.
