Outreach Team Listening Project

Community Memorial Service, 1st Nov, 4pm
A time to remember those who have died recently or long ago. Email Sally with any names you would like remembered.
Pause and Pray
We will be gathering for at 7pm for 30 minutes of quiet reflection and silence on 2nd November and then every Monday in Advent (30th November – 21st December). Come and enjoy a pause at the start of the month and then during the busy build up to Christmas.
Bible Study Group
Our study of incidents in Jesus’ life as depicted in the Gospels and the TV programme ‘The Chosen’ will continue on 4th and 18th November at 10am and 7pm at 15 Rackham Close. All welcome even if you have never been before.
Remembrance Day
Coffee Prayer and Chat will start at 10.45pm on 11th November so we can have an act of remembrance at 11am.

Christmas Extravaganza, 5th December
10am-12noon – Wreath-making Workshop
Tickets must be purchased in advance as places are limited. Cost: £25 per person. All materials supplied. Contact Coral at ccvdk@outlook.com to reserve your place.
2pm Victorian-themed Extravaganza with various stalls, tombola, craft activities for children, refreshments, ending at 4pm with a Victorian-style, outdoor, lantern-lit Christmas Carol session accompanied by a brass band.
Donations for cake stall
We are hoping for donations for the cake stall at the Christmas Extravaganza if you can assist with this please speak to Lyn or Debbie.
Christmas Lunch, Sunday 6th December, 1pm
Join us for a traditional Christmas lunch at the Moonrakers pub. Sign up in church.
Toys for ‘Short Breaks’
On Sunday 6th December we will be collecting toys (new or second hand) for Short Breaks, which provides respite care in Swindon for children and young people aged between 5 and 18 with a range of severe and complex educational needs and disabilities. These are the toys requested: colouring pens, colouring books, plain paper, footballs, sponge balls, sensory toys, second-hand toys with no small pieces, especially Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol or Bluey, washable blankets and cushions, musical instruments.
Please avoid very small items and anything (including playdough) that could cause harm if swallowed.
We will also be entering a church team in their fundraising Quiz on Friday 20th November at Woodlands Edge pub. Please let Coral know at cvdk@outlook.com, if you would like to join in.
Singing our praise
If you would like to be sent the hymns for each Sunday in advance so that you can check you know them, and learn them if not, particularly to help everyone else learn new songs, please let Sally know and she will add you to the list of ‘congregational choir’.
Emergency contact details
We have forms available on the lectern by the door so you can give us an emergency contact number in case there is a medical incident while you are at church. Please fill one in and return to Sally, Helen or David. They will be kept securely in the safe.
