As a church we support three charities: local, national and international, giving 10% of our collection. The international charity currently is Nsawo Church of Uganda primary school. Our latest donation has allowed them to buy 13 desks for students.
Here is a message from he Rt. Wilson Kisekka , Bishop of Luwero Diocese:
I wish to submit my sincere appreciation to the faithful Christians from St Andrew’s Church, Swindon for their Generous support to Nsawo Church of Uganda Primary School. The school has a total number of 610 Students of which 321 are Girls and 290 Boys. The Total Number of Desks/Seats is Currently 132. These Desks cannot Accommodate all the students, which leaves a big gap to the school to find out how the rest of the students can seat for Classes.
With the Donation from St Andrew’s Church therefore, 15 Desks/Seats have been produced for the school, from UGX: 3,043,361. These desks, though may not be enough for all the students, they will create a very big impact to the school. With these 15 Desks/Seats, at least 60 students with a ratio of 4 students per desk /Seat, will have where to seat during class lessons. The school enrollment will also increase with the assurance of where children can seat.
Blessings
