On a lovely sunny 4th July, Martina was ordained priest at Bristol Cathedal, supported by Sally, Karen and a group of parishioners from St Andrew's. Martina joined seven other ordinands from Swindon and Bristol, who declared their assent to our faith, swore allegiance to the King and obedience to the bishop.
Led by Neil Warwick, Bishop of Swindon and acting Bishop of Bristol, the ordinands were presented to the Bishop, followed by a service of Holy Communion.
Martina will remain with us for two more years as she develops her ministry. The following day, at 6pm, Martina celebrated Holy Communion for the first time, with the service followed by an outdoor buffet at St Andrew's, where she was presented with a portable communion set.
